Beacon Ink is Beacon's art and literary magazine, representing our students' extraordinary creativity and talent. We publish a wide variety of creative work from students in grades 9-12.
Our staff is a small group of student editors who are responsible for all magazine development. The editors recruit and evaluate submissions, raise funds, advertise the magazine, and spend all of spring semester designing, editing and laying out the publication, cover to cover.
Because we have a finite amount of space in the magazine, and we receive hundreds of submissions every year, we have developed an extensive evaluation process for student work. Although we cannot publish everyone's work, this process shows every piece the respect and admiration it deserves.
